Feeling the Wrath of Valentine’s Day? The Big Show is here to help!

Have you seen the commercial advertising a giant, 4-foot-tall teddy bear? Yeah, it freaks us out too.  Giant teddy bears are not really necessary to make a girl happy on Valentine’s Day.  Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day and instead of rushing out to buy the first heart-shaped box of chocolates you can find, there are alternatives to spending everything in your wallet.  In fact, it’s the imaginative things you can do for your lady that will save you money and also trick her into thinking you have been planning for this day for a while!

That’s right, this article is for the gents!

Rom-com movies have taught us nothing but that romance is all hearts, chocolate, flowers, and expensive dinners.  Those are not the only ways to please your date though!  The folks at The Big Show care for you, your loving relationship, and your wallet so we have compiled a list of inexpensive gift ideas that will make your lady’s heart melt.

1. Deck Of Cards.  Find an old deck of cards or purchase a new one.  With each card, personalize it by gluing on a red Post-it note on each face side of the cards with one reason why you love her.  Eventually, you will have 52 reasons why you love her.  Reasons could include loving her smile to loving how she screams at you when you leave your clothes on the floor! Not only will this give you a chance to reflect on your love for her, but will also keep her entertained and feel treasured.

2. Baked Goods.  Sure, the way to a man’s heart may be through his stomach but the same goes for women.  Contrary to popular belief, women love to eat!  Valentine’s Day is the perfect opportunity to bake her favorite desserts.  If you don’t consider yourself a good baker, then now’s the time to start.  Just pull up a recipe and bake away!  Even better, if the recipe includes frosting, customize it by writing something sweet like “I love you”.  Nothing better than sweet words on edible sweet goods!  Put on a good movie, plop on the couch together and enjoy.

3. Bobble heads? Bet you didn’t know that you could buy customized bobble heads to look exactly like yourself!  While this can be a little pricy, it’ll definitely be creative to get a bobble head of you and your valentine.  Would this be a good gift? Well, the bobble head is nodding up and down so we suppose so!

Valentine’s Day has definitely become a commercial holiday and gives couples more anxiety than pleasure.  The true meaning of this day is to remind people how grateful they are for their loved ones rather than trying to cram our love for someone into one day.

Remember that buying lavish gifts does not equate to the level you love someone. Something simple and thoughtful will do just fine.  Besides, all the chocolate will be 50% off the day after so you can buy it then! Instead of stressing over what to buy, tomorrow should be a day of relaxation and reflection of how special the existence of love is. Happy Valentine’s Day!
