95.5 WPLJ, 77WABC, 1560 RADIO DISNEY & NABISCO LIFESAVERS
SOCCER TARGET KICK
CONDITIONAL PRIZE CONTEST
8/18/01
1. Nabisco Lifesavers, 95.5 WPLJ, 77WABC, 1560 Radio Disney will conduct the contest as part of the 4th Annual 3v3 Soccer Shootout, on August 18th 2001 for a chance to win the following prizes:
a) Grand Prize: $1,000,000 40-year annuity (to be paid $25,000 per year for 40 years with no interest. Policy provided by American Hole-in-One( AHNO))
b) Second Prize TBD
There are no other prizes.
2. To enter you must be at least 18 years of age and a legal resident of the US. If you are the selected finalist you must provide a valid Social Security number prior to the event on August 18, 2001. and meet all other eligibility requirements specified herein. If you cannot provide a valid Social Security number you will be disqualified and an alternate finalist will be selected.
3. You can enter by logging on to WPLJ.coms contest page, completing and submitting the registration form. One finalist (and an alternate) will be selected from all eligible entries received. You may enter only once per week (maximum of 5 times). All entries must be received by 12:01 AM on August 6th, 2001. Drawing to select finalist and alternate will be held on or about August 6, 2001. If WPLJ cannot reach the selected finalist by phone within 48 hours after the drawing, he or she will be disqualified and the selected alternate will become the finalist. The selected finalist and alternate must be present at the dates and times specified by the contest sponsor (WPLJ, WABC, Radio Disney and Nabisco Lifesavers) to be eligible to win. The event is presently scheduled for August 18th, 1pm the Saturday of the 3v3 Soccer Shootout (WPLJ reserves the right to change the date and time of the event). If the selected finalist is not present at that date and time, he or she will be disqualified and the alternate will replace the finalist. If the selected finalist is present at the event, and not disqualified or otherwise declared ineligible at the event, the alternate will be dismissed and will receive no prize.
4. The finalist will participate in two events. First, the finalist will participate in the Second Prize Event where he/she will have five (5) tries to successfully throw a soccer ball twice (2) into a target hole from a specified distance in order to win. After the completion of the Second Prize Event, the finalist will then attempt the Grand Prize Event for a chance to win $1,000,000 (payable as a 40 year annuity at $25,000 per year with no interest).
5. If the finalist is declared ineligible or disqualified, the alternate will be permitted to attempt to compete for the Second and Grand Prize Events.
6. For the Grand Prize Event the finalist must kick the official soccer ball (to be supplied by contest administrator) through the target from the prescribed distance as indicated by the contest administrator at the event. IMPORTANT: Any contestant touching or crossing the distance marker with a foot declared as the plant foot will be disqualified and will not have another attempt. The soccer ball must pass completely through the target opening on the fly and land inside and remain within the netting that is behind the target opening without bouncing out or coming into contact with any item (other than the inside edge of the target opening), person, or surface that would alter or enhance the flight path of the soccer ball. There will be a maximum of one (1)-attempted kick at the grand prize level. As soon as the finalist makes an attempt to kick the soccer ball into the target, the Grand Prize Event will be declared over. NO SECOND ATTEMPTS WILL BE GRANTED FOR ANY REASON. If the Grand Prize Event finalist does not succeed in hitting the soccer ball into the target in accordance with these rules, then no grand prize will be awarded. Additional rules and conditions for the Second Prize Event and/or Grand Prize Event may be provided at the time of the events. IMPORTANT: THE WINNER AND WINNING KICK MUST BE CERTIFIED BY AHNO. NO PRIZE WILL BE AWARDED UNLESS AHNO CERTIFIES THAT A FINALIST IS ELIGIBLE AND THAT A WINNING KICK HAS BEEN MADE. Subject to the forgoing, the decision of 95.5WPLJ-FM, 77WABC, 1560AM Radio Disney management in the interpretation of these rules is final. By participating, all entrants agree to be bound by the decisions of the judges and the official contest rules.
7. Employees of Nabisco, AHNO, 95.5 WPLJ, 77WABC, 1560 Radio Disney, ABC Inc., their parent, subsidiary and affiliated companies, contest sponsors and co-sponsors, and members of their immediate family/same household are not eligible to enter or win. The term immediate families include spouses, grandparents, parents, siblings, children, and grandchildren.
8.The following classes of people are ineligible to enter the contest: A) Persons who have won any contest in the past 30 days of the contest date on either 95.5WPLJ, 77WABC, 1560 Radio Disney.
A) CURRENT OR FORMER PROFESSIONAL, SEMI-PROFESSIONAL, OR MINOR LEAGUE FOOTBALL, SOCCER, OR RUGBY PLAYERS.
B)CURRENT OR FORMER HIGH SCHOOL OR COLLEGIATE FOOTBALL, SOCCER, OR RUGBY PLAYERS WHO HAVE COMPETED AT THAT LEVEL WITHIN THE PAST SIX (6) YEARS.
C)CURRENT OR FORMER FOOTBALL, SOCCER, OR RUGBY COACHES WHO HAVE COACHED AT THE COLLEGIATE LEVEL OR ABOVE.
FINALIST AND ALTERNATE ARE EACH REQUIRED TO INTIAL EACH OF THE ABOVE CONDITIONS IN PARAGRAPH 7& 8 TO CONFIRM THAT HE OR SHE DOES NOT FIT INTO ANY OF THE INELIGIBLE CATEGORIES.
9. Finalist and alternate are solely responsible for travel to and timely arrival at the Grand Prize and Second Prize Events. Any expenses incurred in connection with travel to and/or from the Event are solely the responsible of the Finalist and Alternate. Failure to timely arrive at the Event location will result in disqualification.
10. The finalist and alternate will each be required to sign these Official Contest Rules, Regulations and Release indicating that he or she fully understands, agrees to and is in compliance with all rules and regulations pertaining to this contest. The finalist/prize winner is solely responsible for all applicable taxes.
11. Each entrant, including the finalist and alternate, acknowledges and agrees that AHNO, Nabisco, 95.5 WPLJ, 77 WABC, 1560 Radio Disney have the right without further authorization to use entrants name, likeness, photograph, voice, biographical data and the fact that entrant may be a finalist or grand prize winner, for advertising and promotional purposes in any media, in any manner, without compensation, unless prohibited by law. Finalist must timely complete and sign an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability and Release or prize will be forfeited.
12. There is no purchase necessary to enter or win the contest. Void where prohibited by law.
13. There will be no substitution for prizes except by sponsor at it sole discretion. Participation in the contest and prizes are non-transferable. No substitution or replacement of finalist or alternate is permitted except by Sponsor in accordance with these rules. If forfeited, the prize will not be awarded.
14. WPLJ reserves the right to make rule or contest changes (including changes to Grand Prize Event date or location) with notice at any time.
15. If the winner is found in violation of these rules he/she will be disqualified and forfeit any prize.
16.Each entrant agrees to release, discharge and hold harmless Nabisco, 95.5WPLJ-FM, 77WABC, 1560 Radio Disney, ABC, Inc., AHNO, contest promotion partners and advertisers, their respective parent, subsidiary and affiliated companies, and their respective officers, directors, agents and representatives, from and against any claim or liability arising from or relating to participation in this contest and./or the acceptance or use of any prize.
I have read, UNDERSTAND, ACCEPT and AGREE to all of the above rules, regulations, terms and conditions for participation in this contest. I affirm that I do not fit any of the personal classifications which I have initialed in item #8 and #9 of these rules, and I understand that in no way am I guaranteed a prize of any kind. I ALSO UNDERSTAND THAT the only way I will win the grand prize is by successfully kicking the soccer ball through the target as required by the contest rules and certified by AHNO. I FURTHER ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT CONTEST SPONSORS WILL HAVE NO LIABILITY TO ME FOR AHNOS FAILURE TO CERTIFY THE RESULTS OF THE GRAND PRIZE EVENT FOR ANY REASON.
