This research branch of the New York Public Library is the world's largest public information center devoted solely to science and business. SIBL utilizes cutting-edge technology to facilitate users' access to its collections, services, and resources. This new library is located in the landmark former B. Altman department store building. Hours: Monday, Friday, Saturday: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; Sunday: Closed. A free one-hour tour of the Library is available Tuesdays at 2:00 p.m. and Fridays at 11:00 a.m. No appointment is necessary.
