The music bug bit Dave when he was a pre-teen. You couldn’t separate him from his radio.
Then after visiting his favorite DJ in the studio, the radio bug bit him. “Playing my favorite music on the radio could be a career? Holy smokes!”
Dave’s high school station gave him a shot when he was 12 years old. At 16, he landed a weekend show on the legendary 92 PRO-FM in Providence, RI. That led to on-air jobs in Boston, Hartford and Philadelphia then to New York City for another legendary station called 95-5 PLJ. Maybe you’ve heard of it.
Dave came to PLJ in 1989 when the station was known as “Power 95."
He is the longest-running DJ on staff. (But don’t call him the “senior” jock… He’s clinging to his youth). Along the way, Dave has won the March of Dimes Achievement in Radio Award for “Best Overnight Show” several times.
Outside of PLJ, you’ll find him anywhere from the sand to the slopes, from Broadway to Buffett. He is both a theater-lover and a Parrothead.
